March Madness Bracket Tournament
The McPherson Youth Center is excited to host our very own March Madness Bracket Tournament, open to teens ages 11-18 and their families!
March Madness is the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, featuring 68 college teams competing in a single-elimination bracket. We are brining that same excitement to McPherson with a community bracket challenge, leaderboard tracking, and grand prize for our winner.
Important Dates

The official NCAA teams are revealed at 6pm ET on CBS. Participants may begin filling out their brackets at home once the teams are released.

All brackets must be submitted by 8:00 PM on Monday, March 16.
Ways to submit:
Fill out a printed bracket at McPherson
Drop off a completed bracket to McPherson
Email your completed bracket to us at barths@northshoreymca.org
No late brackets can be accepted once the tournament begins.

Join McPherson for a bracket submission party on March 16!
Come down to 48 Park Street to fill out your brackets, hand in brackets, and officially enroll for the contest!
We will be holding bracket submissions from 3:00-7:50pm.
Pizza will be served from 4-6pm! Swing by and enter!

We will track the tournament from the first round through the National Championship game on April 6.

Game Play Information

Obtain a blank NCAA tournament bracket and fill out player information via Google Form (available at 48 Park Street or downloadable from the link at the bottom of this page).
Predict the winner of each matchup from the first round through the championship game.
Submit your completed bracket by Monday, March 16
Participants may only submit one bracket per person.

As the real NCAA tournament games are played, teams will be eliminated. Points are awarded based on correctly predicted games.
We will use a standard round-based scoring system:
First Round: 1 point per correct pick
Second round: 2 points per correct pick
Sweet 16: 4 points per correct pick
Elite 8: 8 points per correct pick
Final Four: 16 points per correct pick
Championship: 32 points per correctly predicting the winner
(Scoring systems subject to minor adjustment but will be finalized before the first game begins.)
Scores will be updated regularly, and participants can check the McPherson Leaderboard at the center to se where they stand. Updates will also be posted to the McPherson Instagram at @mcphersonyouth.
